When discussing the school name, the founders of the school preferred the word "elite" in terms of neither fame, nor wealth, but rather its historical aspect. In particular," Kazakh elite "or" Alash intelligentsia " were considered within the framework of meaningful concepts that have a significant place in Kazakh history and society.

The Kazakh elite or Kazakh intelligentsia are the group of Kazakh people who contributed to education of the masses with education and science and raise the country with art and education. They were lionhearted people who studied politics, fought for freedom, promoted spirituality and culture, and sought to realize national unity.

Ярчайшими просветителями и представителями «казахской элиты» были Ахмет Байтурсынов, Алихан Бокейханов, Турар Рыскулов, и сегодня они остаются образцами для подражания в вопросах образования, национальной идентичности и национальных ценностей.
